5th stop: Upland (LA) ~ claire and kate

just a little introduction for you all...

this is our cutie claire
and this is adorable kate

wedneday...

we went to victoria gardens (outdoor mall)
ally tries her first pinkberry (for me it's my 3rd time... i think). a lot of 'firsts' in this trip, eh?

thursday...

on our way to k-town, we stop by kim's home center.
of course, it took such a long time for the moms to shop, so the kiddos lounged around in the massage chairs... oh they joy.
place: galleria (in k-town)
time: about 3pm-ish

place: still in galleria
time: 3:30pm-ish
what happened: while the moms + ally went into a make-up store, elena baby sat the little ones. as they walked off, auntie julie specifically said to watch out for kate because she might fall into the fountain. i did, and 15 mins gone by, i was doing pretty well. kate asked if i could help her zip her backpack, so as i turned around, claire reached into the water and said 'the water is so pret-'. i heard the rest of the 'pretty' as she slipped and fell into the water. as she came out, she said, 'well, maybe if we dry off quickly, then mommy won't notice'. omo na... and of course auntie julie only brought kate extra clothes, and none for claire. go figure. so sadly, i WAITED patiently for 15 mins, waiting for the moms to come out. i couldn't go and get them because the store was far away, and i couldn't bring them over because claire would be dripping the whole way there. what to do?? well eventually, these kind korean people got the moms attention and they came running out. claire got an outfit from the only kid's clothing store in the whole galleria... and it just had to be one of the 'super duper expensive stores' where sales clothes are $75, and plain underwears are $15 each. 'well, let's just think of it as, hey, it'll be passes down to my 2 other girls, and PLUS, it'll have a story to it,' the now calm auntie julie said.
