random drabbles from a blogger's soul: III

here you go my dears!  the drabbles have made their way back for an EPPIICCC return.  oh, and for those who didn't get the memo- the answer to guess n' go: II was 'leaving school and friends behind to go to another whole new world' (lindsey's words exactly).  in conclusion, it's about me leaving my current school to go to VSAA.

SO, i was actually typing this up on my handy-dandy iTouch a couple days back because an idea suddenly (really, it was out of the blue) popped into my brain.  i was just tossing and turning in my bed at night when BAM! an idea hit me like a bolt of lightning and i just could NOT help myself from scrambling out of the sheets and switching the lamp on in a record speed (so i won't forget those ideas!) to reach out and grab the Touch, typing away my thoughts like it was the most normal thing in the world.  *takes a deep breath* whew, that was some pretty intense rambling up there.  is it just me, or does this happen to you a lot (the getting out of bed and writing part)?  hopefully this happens to you too, because i don't want to end up having to go to the doctor's and be plagued with the 'i-can't-help-myself-from-writing' disease.  who knows, anything's possible, right? ok, now i'm definitely going insane.

annnyyyywayyys, this prologue is getting longer than the ACTUAL THING, so i better get a move on.  this drabble is a little shorter than usual, but it should be a little less-revealing than the two previous ones.  hopefully.

to the girl, those two weeks in July were full of pure bliss and adoration (ok, so maybe the minimum 5 miles of walking daily was a PAIN, but she liked to think of it as make up exercise for the days of staying on her desk at the computer). the museums, the theaters, the outdoor parks, and fireworks were all components of the trip, but we all know what she really wanted to see.

it was after all that
good stuff when they finally came into a decent radius of the monumental building.  the girl marched over to the articulate, perfectly mowed lawn (it amazed her how perfect the green strands could be cut into a completely identical fashion) and plucked a blade, carefully plopping it into a ziploc bag and examining it closely, a certain sparkle shining within her chocolate pupils.  now this was a good keepsake.
