so... im sick. yeah, no duh elena. okay, let me rephrase that: i'm STILL sick. *sighs, puts on puppy dog face, and in desperation of sympathy* no, actually, sympathy is way past me (but feel free to feel sympathetic to your likings). no, being on my 6th day of sickness, i'm just a mess (for the lack of a better word). unfortunately, after a grueling visit to the outside world aka the doctor's office, i found out that i have adenovirus. questions about the sickness, some information? you got the wrong person, chicka. all i know is that it's not the flu but some other nasty thing of some sort that [normally] lasts up to a week. also, it's contagious. so contagious, that i am currently wearing clear elastic hospital gloves while furiously typing away at this moment.
any who, your question of the day may be, elena, if you're so sick, then why are you blogging so much? well actually, that's a pretty easily anwerable. i've been feeling a little better lately (as in, no 104 degree fever, more like 99 degrees) and in those certain timeslots, i try to squeeze in as much internet time as i can. and of course, i want to keep this blog as up-to-date as possible, so informing you of how my sickness is going along isn't such a bad thing, right?
so in those tiny snapshots of me feeling decent, i've been obessing over random things... like my hair. as in, does my hair look puffy? which side of my hair looks straighter? while constantly smoothing down my not-so-attractive locks. but i mean, seriously. practically a week of illness, and you can imagine how atrocious someone's hair would look. and it's not like i don't shower and/or bathe or anything, but really. ugh. being sick not only makes you feel icky, but also makes you have messy hair.
but although i may be the one that's in the worst condition in our household, im definitely not the only one suffering. the mom is constantly buzzing around sanitizing this and that (basically whatever i touch) and just caring for my needs. what a great mom, right? *applauds* plus, ally has a wee little ringworm growing on her cheek- something i had a few months back, and most likely passed on to her (sorry sista!)
with all the chaos aboard our deck, it's a wonder that we've made it through this week.
now, i better get going to work on some work-up math equations for all the days of school i've missed. funnnn.
I'm SO happy you are better...welcome back to the world...:)
ReplyDeletethanks mommy, but we all know it's mostly because of you :-)
